Thomas Kinkade cards for my mommy...

I got 3 Thomas Kinkade stamps last August to make some cards for my Mom...it took me forever to get up the nerve to try to color them. I just couldn't get them the way I wanted them, so I took the easy way out!!! (hehehe) Bambi64 on SCS was my inspiration for these. Yup, those are monogramed envelopes made with 2 great sets from Papertrey Ink, Ambassador Monogram Edition and Borders & Corners Monogram Edition. And, yes my mommy loved her cards!!

Secret Hot Cocoa recipe!

My boys LOVE their hot chocolate, and boy are they picky about how you make it and what goes in it!! So they found a "secret, special recipe that is all theirs"... so, we thought it would be cool to make these "Hot Cocoa" sets and attach their special recipe for "the Gramma's". I have been dying to use my very first stamp set from Papertry Ink, Holiday Treats and this project was perfect for them!! I also used my favorite Wintergreen DP (I just can't get enough of this paper!!)

A Christmas Prezzie for Gramma

I took a break from my 'Thomas Kinkade card making' to make this altered clipboard as a gift for my Gramma! The red check paper matches her room where I'm guessing she'd put this (the 'Utility Room/Computer Room'). The calendar and notepad came as a set in the 'Dollar Area' at Michaels, Gramma loves chocolate, so these have M&M's on them! The sentiment is from Verve Visual Starlight Starbright set: I stamped the background stars in Morning Marigold by Stampin Up! and then stamped the phrase right on top of it in Cranberry Crisp (these also fit perfectly in the oval punch by SU!). The clip is for holding a picture or something, I'll put a little note in it for her! The 3 red buttons above the note pad came from a big tin full of buttons that my Gramma gave me years ago (I just LOVE old buttons), some of these were from her collection and some were from my Great Gramma's collection...I thought they were perfect! The colors even matched perfectly!! The gold flowers are Primas. The Gold ribbon is from Michaels. This was a real mish-mash of what I found in my stashes, but I really love the way it came together and I hope Gramma loves it too!!! My Gramma & Grampa used to make my hubby & I something every year for Christmas (Grampa would work on 1 part and Gramma would work on the other and the gift was for Jeff & I), I really miss looking forward to our "homemade gift" now, but I really enjoy making things for my Gramma & my parents...maybe this can be my way of carrying on that 'tradition' (for lack of a better word). Sorry for the sentimental mush, but it is that time of year! I hope you all cherish every moment this holiday with your loved ones!!

My last Christmas card - hopefully!

Just when I think I can't ink up another Christmas image without going crazy, I think of a super cute card to make (and yeah, it normally includes an image from the Jolliest Christmas set by Stampin Up!). I truely love this set, but I think my real weakness is the Wintergreen DP (of course by Stampin Up!). I stamped this super cool dude on Shimmer white paper, the good thing is that it is gorgeous with a perfect amount of shimmer, the bad thing is that with this picture you can't see the Dazzling Diamonds because the paper looks so shimmery! I colored him in with Copic markers, used Fun Flock on all of his fur and Dazzling Diamonds on all the snow flakes and snow areas. He is mounted on Black cs and then again on Sage Shadow cs. This is raised on Dimensionals. The sentiment is also stampind in Brilliance ink on Shimmery White paper mounted on black cs. I also used the Sprial punch across the top of the DP...now I bought this punch to use on a planner I was going to make, I couldn't imagine what else I'd use it for...well now I've used it more than a dozen times and still haven't made that planner, lol!! Enjoy the card and thansk for looking! Comments are always welcome and appreciated!
Supplies
Stamps: Santa and sentiment are both from the Jolliest Christmas set by Stampin' Up!
Ink: Brilliance in Graphite Black, Copic markers for coloring Santa & my spica Silver Glitter pen for the buckle
Paper: Black cs, Shimmer White cs, Sage Shadow cs and Wintergreen DP all by Stampin Up!
Accessories: Fun Flock, Dazzling Diamonds, Spiral punch, dimensionals, photo corner punch (all by Stampin Up!), Rhinestones were a gift from Cherri Furr (a wonderful SCS friend)!

Goodies from across the pond!

These are pics of 2 goodies boxes I got from my Bella Sistah, Janette (she is from the UK, the other side of the pond). The bottom picture is of package number 1 I got on Monday. There is a Clickabella, and there are some awesome embellies in the bag. I also love the darling card!! She is funny, wonderful, and a great card maker!!
The top picture is from a box I got today!! There were (I saw 'were' because most of them are gone now, yummy) some yummy Chocolates!!! These super cute sparkly brads, snowflakes, acrylic pieces (I have fallen in love with using these things!!!) and a super cute card! I almost bought this stamp, but didn't because as it was I already had mor Christmas stamps than I was able to use!! There was also a yummy smeling candle that made my whole package smell Christmas-y!! I am a HUGE Yankee candle fan!
Janette has been such a great friend! I was very lucky to get paired up with her, I have loved getting to know her! She's definitely a keeper! Too bad she lives so darn far away!!! Love ya Janetta Bettah!!! Thanks for the goodies!! Can't wait to play!!

Guest Designer...Me?!?!?!?

A couple of weeks ago I got the sweetest email from Miss Korin Southerland, owner of Sweet & Sassy Stamps. She asked me to be a Guest Designer for Sweet & Sassy, I had to read this email several times because I was sure it couldn't have said what I was reading, but it did! I am sooo very excited and honored, thank you Korin!!!!!!! (oh yeah, of course I said yes!!!!!!).

This isn't even the BIG news, the BIG news is that Korin has just released a new set called "Doodle Flowers". She will also be releasing several new things in the coming weeks, so add her blog to your google reader and you too can be "in the know" lol. Sorry can't write any more, I need to add a "Guest Designer" line to my blog!! hehehehe~!!

Thanks for looking, and keep your fingers crossed that I don't fall flat on my face when it's my turn to "Guest Design"...lol!

BB7 JammyBella

This layout was Challenge #7, by Gina K (yup, that Gina K from Gina K stamps). I love thed the layout! I have used a similar layout to this before, and as soon as I saw this one, I knew I needed to try it! And yes, if you can count and add and remember you will notice that I completed all 7 of the challenges (Challenge #3, was a questionnaire that I participated in , but won't post here)!! YEAH!!!! I did it!!!!! Yeah, yeah, yeah deets later!

BB6 Christini

Here is my entry for Laura's challenge (llevans on SCS). The challenge was for a NadaBella card. I started coloring this and didn't like, but I kept going and now I love this card!! It turned out so great! All deets later...

BB5 JammyBella

Here is my card for Shannan's Challenge. I like this card, but as I was about to take the picture I thought it would look great with some pink fiber type ribbon (which of course I didn't have), so then I was no longer satisfied with the card, darn it!! Will add the deets, later.

BB4 Stamping Bella

Here is my entry for Challenge #4 from Jamie (Jamerz on SCS). I was trying to beat the clock, determined to complete all 7 challenges on the SCS forum and the Bella Challenge on the Yahoo group, so I decided to combine two challenges! This one is also the color challenge from Jill on Bellaholics. This card is sooooooo much prettier IRL, it's kinda ugly on here (shhhh, don't want to hurt her feelings, lol). I'm way behind and too tired to post deets now, will post later. Thanks for looking!

BB2 SnowbunnyBella

I just love this Bella! (and I don't even own her, how crazy is that!). THis is my entry for the Bella Ball Challenge #2 by Amy Rysavy. Thanks Amy for the fun challenge! Sorry, no deets right now, I'll add them later!

Havein' a ball at the Bella Ball

We're havin' a ball at the Bella Ball!! The Bella Ball on SCS!! You can go here for a list of all the challenges from the Ball. This was so much fun! Here is my entry for the first challege...it was for a trifold card and MerryBella from Stamping Bella is embellied to the max!!! The tutorial is here on Beate's blog. For the front I stamped my Christmas greeting in True Thyme and layered it on my Figgy Pudding DP, and layered that on a scallop circle of Cranberry Crisp. The card is tied closed with ribbon (adhered on the back and between the scallop and the card). Now on to the Bella!! She was way to fun and quick to decorate...I colored her dress, Santa hat and the bow on the pot in my atYou spica glitter pen in red, colored her boots and belt with a Sakura Black glaze pen . The long ornaments are colored with misc. Silver & Gold glitter pens, the round ornaments are Decorative Pearls by Joy Crafts. The fur on her boots & hat is Fun Flock. The rest of the coloring was done with Copics. Thanks for looking & have a great weekend!!! Happy stamping!

HuggyBella RAK & a story...

I was invited to a Girls Stamping Night out this last weekend with some amazing stampers!!! Now mind you I have NEVER been to anything but an SU Card Camp, SU Open House, etc. My new friend Joy (Eclectic Paperie) told me who was coming, I was totally intimidated because OMG, these are "amazing stamper ladies"!! Yes, my hubby laughed at me because I told him I wasn't going to work on anything in front of them for fear of looking like a horrible stamper next to them! Well, I kinda got over that and planned out what I was gonna work on (I'm not good at this, I need everything including the kitchen sink around me at ALL times), bagged everything for each card and packed up my little box. I got this whole card on the left all ready to go, and DIDN'T have the right blue to mat it with!!!!! I finally got enough courage to make a card in front them and I couldn't even begin to put it together!! I was totally bummed! So I moved on to coloring some Frosty's and Jolliest Trees & Santas...I colored several, but I still didn't get any cards put together! Go figure!! Anyway, I had to leave the party early to do some "Mom things" at home. I finally found the right blue and put this card together in about 2 minutes this afternoon! This Bella card is a RAK card, hopefully going out tomorrow. Can you see the baubles on the flowers on the right side of the card? I don't really like the Blue Prima, there doesn't look quite right...oh well!

Thanks for looking and a bigger thanks for letting me ramble. Have a great week all!
Supplies used:
Stamps: Huggybellas by Stampingbella
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Cool Caribbean & Whisper White cs by Stamping Up!, Misc. Dp from unknown
Accessories: Baubles by Stampingbella, Chocolate Chip Tafetta ribbon & Antique Brad from Stampin Up!, Prima Flower

My DSS Rocks!

These last 3 months I participated in a round Divine Secret Siblings on SCS. This is my reveal gift from my Big Sis...isn't it amazing!!! Look at all these goodies!! Ribbons and Primas and Bling, oh my!!! Stickers and eyelets and brads oh my, oh my!! Thank you so much Cheri Furr for all my amazing goodies and for making this a really great round!!

SC152 - Frosty

Another Sketch Challenge card! That cute little snowflake, charm-y thing is a frosted acrylic piece from Creative Acrylics, and I stamped a snowflake on it with Always Artichoke. It was kinda faint so I cut out a circle of Shimmer White and attached it to the back it's attached with black twine and a black brad (by Stampin Up!). Frosty, snowlfake (from Frosty set by Stampin Up!), sentiment (from Holidays & Wishes set by Stampin Up!), Sage Shadow, Always Artichoke and Shimmer White cs (all by Stampin Up!), Wintergreen DP (by Stampin UP!), black brads (by Stampin Up!), I also sponged the Shimmer pieces with Always Artichoke. Colored with Copics.

SC152 - HuggyBella's

It's raining, it's pouring, my old man is snoring!!! Yippeeeee! It rained today, like ALL day! It was so wonderful! I just love the rain (as long as it doesn't over stay it's welcome, hehehe). What a great day for some stamping (did that), some chatting with friends (did that too!!), and a cozy fire in the fireplace (of course! I did that too!!). So I am running weeks behind on challenges, but I needed something to get me going today so I tried this weeks Sketch Challenge on SCS to get those creative juices flowing! I loved the SC for this week, it is so versatile! This card is going to a "Bella Buddy" of mine, who needs a little "perking" up this coming month.
Supplies: HuggyBella stamp (by StampingBella), Whisper White, Chocolate Chip and Cameo Coral cs (all by Stampin Up!), Dp was a gift, Chocolate Chip Tafetta ribbon (by Stampin Up!), reddish/pink brad (by Stampin Up!), brown Prima flower with a Bauble (by STampingBella) in the middle! I also "sponged" chocolate chip on the WW cs and the "Girlfriends" DP.

Yeah, I'm an Elf!!

Your Elf Name Is...

I love my House Mouse Stamps!!!!

My dear and wonderful friend, Tanya, got me these adorable House Mouse stamps for my b-day!!!! Aren't they the cutest things??? Thanks Tanya! You are awesome!!!! and I can't wait to color these beauties!!!!

"The Girls" scrapbook page

Here is a scrapbook page I made for my first "Page Swap". I just cannot come up with a layout without putting pictures, etc. on it, my job was to come up with a "pink page". The raspberry paper is by Cloud 9 Design. I cut 5" off the paper for the "pocket", and flipped it over (this is double sided paper). Then I added a white strip onto the pocket (white card stock cut 1 1/2" and scored at 3/4"). The white was raised a bit so the pocket would over lap the "floral" piece. I also rounded the corners on the white flap. The "Cherish" ribbon is from Michaels, I attached a buckle from my Stampin Up! HodgePodge Hardware and wrapped it around the pink. The white flowers are from Bazzill and have Brads by Creative Impressions in the middle. The photo clip is from my HodgePodge Hardware by Stampin Up! The photo on the bottom is mounted on a pale pink cs and then on white cs. THe "tag photos" are mounted on pink cs and then mounted on white cs, with the white cs being longer for journaling. Jumbo Eyelet in tags is from Stampin Up! To hold all the pieces together the whole thing is mounted on a 12x12 piece of white cardstock. Thanks for looking!

WSC28 Jolliest Christmas Tree

This card is for Beate's weekend challenge. I finally got to play with my Shimmer Paper, that I just had to have but haven't even used yet!! Fun card, and quick...thanks Beate for another great challenge!! All products Stampin Up! except for Copics & Palette ink pad.

I stamped the tree from Jolliest Time of Year with Palette Noir on Shimmer paper and colored it in my Copic marker. The red bulbs and the "swags" are colored in with Spica glitter pen (by Copic), the tree is mounted on Always Artichoke. Since I am the only kid the whole neighborhood that doesn't have Nestabilities yet, I used my corner rounder to make it "ruffly". Wintergreen DP strip is mounted on Always Artichoke. Tag Time stamped in Always Artichoke on Ghimmer paper, and mounted on Always Artichoke. Silver brads & Basic Gray Tafetta Ribbon finish off the sentiment. All of this is mounted on Wintergreen DP and then on an Always Artichoke card base. Hope you like and thanks for looking!!

Another Mr. Voila

He's pretty much the same guy just with different colors...wow! this is kinda like paper dolls! hehehe! So now Mr. Voila is napping and it's time to work on some challenges!! Happy Friday y'all! and thanks for looking!!

Voila!

Yippee! My birthday presents came today and so,of course, I played tonight!!! This paper piecing is alot of fun! Once you figure which papers to use, it's a piece of cake!! Mr. Voila! is half colored with my Copics and half paper pieced with Blue Bayou DP. I also added brads from Hodge Podge Hardware for his buttons. After cutting him out (how exatcly do you cut out that mustache????? lol) I attached him with pop-dots to So Saffron cs which had been embossed with my Cuttlebug embossing template. I "ticket punched" the So Saffron and then mounted it on Chocolate Chip cs, which was also "ticket punched". I used my Crop-a-dile (1 new toy) to place the giant eyelets (another new toy), and then put Blue Bayou DS ribbon through the eyelet. All of this is placed on the Blue Bayou DP which is mounted on the Chocolate Chip card base!! Thanks for looing and Bon Appetit!

Thankful For You!

This is my "Thankful for You" card. This was quick and easy to make, I almost feel guilty that it didn't take me longer! I am realizing that I have become a "hardware junkie"!!! While making this card I got to reflect and think about all the friends and family that I am thankful for!!!

All products are Stampin Up! Card base is Chocolate Chip cardstock, layered with Blue Bayou DP. The photo mount is Blue Bayou cs sponged with Chocolate Chip ink and embellied with brads from HodgePodge Hardware. Stamp is from Sidekick Sayings, stamped in Jet Black Stazon and the flower is colored in with a watercolor crayon and blended with an Aquapainter. This is stamped on Very Vanilla cs, sponged with Chocolate Chip ink and embellied with 3 more brads. The Very Vanilla is mounted on Blue Bayou cs, which is then mounted on Chocolate Chip cs. Ribbon is Chocolate Chip Tafetta and the buckle is from HodgePodge Hardware.

Snowbunny Bella

Miss Julie K sent me a couple of Snowbunnybella images and I knew right away that I was going to use her for this weekends Bella Challenge!!! I haven't actually entered her yet, waiting to see if I make another card I like better. Anyway, she was a blast to color and make!!! Card base is Always Artichoke. I mounted my Wintergreen DP on Whisper White cs and used my ticket punch on all corners. I colored Snowbunnybella with Prisma pencils and blended with mineral spirits. The fur on her coat, boots and hood are covered with white Fun Fluff, I went over her coat with my Sakura glitter pen.She is mounted on Always Artichoke with Silver Brads. The top right corner has a Round Tab punch in Always Artichoke with Silver Brads. Snowflake is from a miscellaneous bag of Christmas Embellies, and is tied with a pale green jute. All hardware, paper and punches are from Stampin Up!

Cruiseabella for my DD

I haven't played with my Bella's in quite some time!! Heidi sent me some cute decorative papers and this driving one was one of them. I thought it would go perfectly with Cruiseabella since my DD has recently started driving (don't worry, you're all safe...you're in a diferent state!! haha). I colored her in with my Prisma pencils and mineral spirits (I couldn't use my Copics because this image was stamped for me by somone else who used Stazon...which we learned last night runs when used with Copics). The Prima flowers have Orange baubles in the middles. Hope you like her!

WSC26 Think Pink

This is my first MFT set...so much fun to color!!! I highly recommend several of these sets for every gal who loves to color! I used my Copics to color this. This is for Beate's Sketch challenge...I'm beginning to LOVE sketch challenges, they still take me a while to get going, but I always love the end result!!
I "chalked" the edges of the Loves Me DP with Close to Cocoa. The circles behind the CI Pink Rhinstone brads were made with the Slit Punch by SU! Ribbon is attached with a Silver brad by SU!

Tag, now, I'm it!

What a great way to get to know some of the other gals out there whose art work we drool over, but don't know much else about. Heidi 'tagged' me and it was fun to read her replies to these questions, you can read them on her blog. You can also see her beautiful kreations there! Thanks Heidi (who is also my Bella Sistah!)!!

Ok so now I have to tell you what I was doing 10 ..... 20 ..... and 30 years ago.

Well, 10 years ago I was just going on maternity leave with my middle child, William and getting ready for the holidays (he was due 1 week before Christmas!). Victoria was almost 6 and soooo cute and sweet (too bad you can't go back...lol). Jeff & I were moving into a new house and getting it ready for a 6th Birthday Party, the holidays and a new baby!

20 years ago, I just turned 18 knew everything there was to know about anything and had the world right where I wanted it! (I hadn't realized yet how dumb I was!!).

30 years ago ... I was just a baby! hahaha, I really don't even remember 30 years ago!

Well now I guess it is my turn to tag someone...hmmmmmm, how about one of new Bella Buddies, Katie Skiff! I have been chatting a bit with Katie lately and just love her to death! She's very funny, extremely supportive and makes cute cards! Thanks Heidi and Katie for being there! Love to all!

SC147 Jolliest Christmas Tree

This picture tuned out yucky, but the card is soooo cute! This is for the Sketch Challenge for today (how do like that I am actually on time!!). I love this striped paper from the Wintergreen DP pack. I colored the Tree (from Jolliest Time of the Year) with Copics and used Red Glass beads for the ornaments. My tree was too small, so I made 2 and stacked one on top to make it taller. I used Antique Brads in the Always Artichoke Photo Corners. The card is mounted on Basic Gray cs (told you I love Basic Gray). Sentiment is stamped in Basic Gray. Thanks for looking!

CC137 Jolliest Santa

I love my Copics, I love my Copics, I love my Copics, I love my Copics!!!!!! I finally decided to got some Copics from Eclectic Paperie. These gals are amazing and wonderful! Customer service is way above and beyond!!!!! I highly recommend them to everyone! Joy & Daisy Rock!!!

Ok, back to business...I love this Jolliest Time of the Year stamp set!!!! This card is for the Color Challenge yesterday (Basic Gray, Purely Pomegranate & Soft Sky). I really like these colors together! I used basic gray for a challenge last week and now I can't get enough of it! Love that color! I'm learning that I don't like things flat, I need texture and layers. This card still seems "flat" to me, but I like it...maybe I'll add some breads to the bottom corner....hmmmmm!

Anyway, I colored Santa with my Copics (did I mention that I love these babies?!!?). Santa's white fur and the "snowdrifts are covered in Dazzling Diamonds. I stamped both pieces of the Soft Sky cs with Canvas BG with Soft Sky ink.

Yes, more fishys

I love this card! I started CASE-ing this beautiful card from Kathie McGuire, but I didn't have the same punches, and then my stars were bigger than her scalloped circles...to make a long story short, the original idea for this card was hers, but I had to make a few changes Hope you like! The open space is for some kind of sentiment...I just made the card because I loved it, have no idea who or what it's gonna be for yet.

Thanks for looking! Oh yeah, if you think I'm on a Fishy-fling, just wait til you see what I post tomorrow!!!!!

Time to play...

"All stamping images, and no coloring makes Tangii a dull Bella!!!!". I stamped over 200 images this weekend for my Bella Sistahs...after all that, it was time for me to play! I had some scraps left over from a card class (given to me from an SU! Demo friend of mine), so I decided to see what I could make. Cresta & Tracy also inspired me with 2 super cute cards they sent me. The picture isn't as pretty as she is sitting here on my desk. The green cs with all the layers on it lifts up like a flap, so you can put a sentiment or note under the flap (on the floral DP).

Feeling "Creatively Challenged"!!

I'm not entirely sure what my problem was, but boy, was I "creatively challenged" the other day!! I just could not seem to get this card to work, everything I tried came out wrong...after several attempts this is my end result. I still think it's missing something (not sure what), but I think it is pretty! This went out to a Bella Sistah that made my day today! You'll know who you are when you open your mail!

Ok, a new office means new pretties!!!

So I just HAD to make myself some beautiful file folders, and of course some beaded pens and certainly a holder for all those pens, and oh yeah, a note pad so I can write on something with those pretty, pretty pens!!! This was sooooo much fun, I really need to make some more. I think an altered clip board may be next!!!
SU Designer Papers, ribbon, some bling by MME, Primas & flower stamp (on ribbon) from Priceless by SU!
These were so much fun and turned out so pretty Victoria (the DD) is covering her notebooks for school (yup, she's a Senior!!).
