B-day gift for my MIL

This was for my MIL for her b-day. I saw this Sunflower stamp at Michaels a million years ago, and thought it was just gorgeous. This is a set of note cards and a note pad (from Target). I love the way this set turned out and can see me making a ton more of them (and some of you know how much I HATE mass producing cards, etc!!!!). All of the paper is by Stampin Up!, as is all the hardware and ribbon. The stamp is by Rubber Stampede. I stamped the image using Brilliance in Graphite Black, then I embossed it using clear EP (also by Stampin Up!). I colored it in using Copic markers, I blended these using the markers themselves because I still haven't gotten the hang of using my colorless blender (if anyone wants to come over and give me some coloring lessons...lol).
This is a close up of my coloring, not too bad I thought! There are also monogrammed envelopes. The monogram sets are from Papertrey Ink. I stamped the "B" and the circle then used my circle punch to punch it out and then glued it onto an envelope. Thanks for looking and any comments are always appreciated!

Have a great week!

Doodle page for my Bella Calendar...

Here is another page I made. As I said in an earlier post, there were 24 ladies participating in this swap, well one is in Europe and oddly enough they don't celebrate 4th of July in Red, White and Blue like we do...I know, weird huh? Anyway, pretty much all the July pages that were submitted were Red, White and Blue pretty stuff, so I decided to make her a non-"USA 4th of July" page! I know it's not technically a Bella (well I guess "techinically" it is, but not literally), but you know how much I love these Doodles and how much they mean to me, so she'll just have to love it anyway! I will probably duplicate this page for one of the Canadian ladies that doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving in November (again, silly, I know!). This is pretty much the same as the card I created earlier, I just attached a calendar at the bottom and dressed up the bottom a bit. Enjoy ladies!

MwahBella

This is my MwahBella for a February calendar page! She is sooooo cute! I found this DP in my stash and new it'd be perfect! It is by Scrapworks and came in some kit a million years ago! The calendar page itself is 5 1/2" x 8" 1/2", this is just the top half...I haven't yet attached the calendar, so no sense looking at blank cardstock, lol! I colored her with Copics and went over her shirt with a clear Spica Glitter pen. Her boots and purse are colored with a Black Sakura Glaze pen. "Mwah" is stamped in Rose Red ink by Stampin Up! The eyelets are very old from my stash so I have no idea the brand! The heart is an old Chipboard heart from Maya Road, I colored it with my R59 Copic marker. The ribbon was from Michaels. Cardstock is Rose Red by Stampin Up! Stay Tuned for more Bella Calendar pages, I have 8 designs to come up with! This was fun and pretty quick once I picked out the colors for Mwahbella! Thanks for looking and have a great week!

Bella Calendar Swap

I hosted a Bella Calendar Swap and these are the covers I made for everyone's calendars. All DP's are by Sweetwater, cardstock is Bazzill. For the flowers, I used my SU scalloped circle punch...on the white I slit up each petal a bit (to make petals) on the DP I cut each petal out and then glued onto every other white petal. The letter's on here are Monograms. I hope everyone likes them!!
Thanks for looking and have a great week!!!

Daniels Doodles...

I love these "Doodles for Daniel" by Sharon for Stampingbella (you can read the story behind these doodles here, it is a great story and I highly recommend it). A portion of the proceeds will go to the Cancer Foundation thanks to Sharon and Em. Anyway, 2 of my most wonderful friends, Tanya and Shannon, got me a few of these "Doodles" for Christmas and I have been dying to ink them up!! This is a very simple card, but since I haven't stamped in a bit I decided to take "baby steps", lol! Thank you Tanya & Shannon for my most adorable stamps! Thank you Sharon for your amazing story, and Thank You, Em for creating these stamps and for the wonderful donations to the Cancer Foundation!!

Here's to a New Year!!

Happy New Year!!! Thanks to all of you for visiting my blog over the last few months, I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have enjoyed making my creations!

Instead of posting my ‘Resolutions’, I’m going to post some goals for myself (maybe if I make them public, I will work harder to keep them, lol!)
As some of you know I have spent the last several months agonizing over finding a job, well I have finally found one (although it is a temp job, hopefully it’ll turn into something more permanent…I’m praying!). This is a great start for me for the new year!! Here are my goals for 2008:
1. First and foremost, to maintain ‘full time employment’!!!!!
2. To spend more time making cards, scrapbooking pages and making alterables. I have paper, ribbon, etc that has been building up over years and while I have used up a bit of it lately, I would like to get it ALL used up!
3. To spend some time quilting (I love quilting but haven’t worked on it in quite a while).
4. To get healthier (lose some weight, and just get healthier overall).
5. Focus a little more on my friends and friendships (spend more time communicating, sending RAK’s, etc.). I have wonderful friends and while I want to make some new friends I also want to keep the ones I have!
Well this should be enough to keep me busy and on the right track for the year!! Thanks for letting me ramble, and here’s to an amazing 2008!!!!!
